Hey Everyone! With the utmost pride and honor, I present my Dad’s Tribute Guitar album!
“The Journey” by Bob Wood. The title track my Dad wrote and played at his father's funeral and feel its fitting Title for such a powerful and beautiful album to help cherish his legacy.

This album consists of 13 solo guitar tracks and 4 Remixes I created. In the beginning and end of select songs, I left his voice/laugh in because it means so much to hear him shine from the Heavens into these musical memories. Completing this project has been empowering, healing, and emotionally challenging. Nowhere to run and hide from the pain and sorrow, just me and my Dad making music together. I grew up playing the drums in and the Remixes it feels like us jamming together. He would always play after dinner and was shy about playing in front of large groups. As I have gone deeper into his sound and styles, I’m proud to say he is and will always be my favorite Guitar player. He was humble about his craft and agreed to let me share them with his friends and family. And also with so many new people who never met him in this life but will feel as if they have after hearing his heart language through his music. Tears flowed as the last task was to finish the album art and see his smiling face in the image. A great man thriving in his favorite place.

Some background…The title track “The Journey” he wrote and played at his father's funeral. Such a powerful and beautiful song. “Patty’s Medley” is a love song he wrote for my mom. “Pappa Russo” he wrote for his good friend's funeral. “Brambles Medley” is a song we wrote for his old friend. “Blues 1” and “Blues 2” are jams he loved to play as he was so fond of Blues music. “Hmmm” and “A Spring Evening” are classics he used to play all the time. The last 3 tracks are songs that were Untitled on his Ipod and so I named them “Gold Park” which represents his favorite mountain escape, “Yakutat” which is where he loved to go fishing in Alaska, and closing track I named “Family First” as that was his true love and purpose in life. The 4 Remixes I wrote were interesting as I had to make drums sequences to match his solo guitar style, then cut, stretch and fit clips into the best places to make a new song.
